How to Play
- Goal: move all 52 cards onto the four foundation piles (top-right), each built up by suit from Ace to King.
- Build columns down in alternating colours — e.g. a red 6 on a black 7. Drag a card or a valid run onto another column or a foundation.
- Deal more cards by tapping the stock (top-left); play the upturned card from the waste pile beside it.
- Empty columns can only be started with a King (or a King-led run). Clearing the cards above a face-down card flips it over.
- Stuck? Use Undo to take a move back, or New deal to reshuffle. Fill all four foundations to win.

About Klondike Solitaire
Klondike Solitaire is the world's most famous card game — the one most people simply call "Solitaire." Your goal is to clear the whole deck by building four foundation piles up from Ace to King, one for each suit. Along the way you sort the cards into tidy down-the-board stacks, flip hidden cards, and plan your moves so nothing gets stuck. Play Klondike Solitaire online free on WishnPlay — and because our deals are checked by a solver, every game you start is one you can actually win.
Choose Draw 1 for a gentler game or Draw 3 for the classic challenge, then settle in for that perfect mix of luck, logic and calm focus that's kept Solitaire popular for generations.
How to play Klondike Solitaire
- Build the four foundations up by suit, starting with each Ace and finishing with the King.
- In the main columns, stack cards down in value and alternating colour — for example a black 7 on a red 8.
- Move a face-up card (or a valid run of cards) between columns to free up the cards beneath.
- Turn over a face-down card whenever it becomes the bottom of its column.
- Draw from the stock pile when you run out of moves, and place a King into any empty column.
- Win by moving all 52 cards to the foundations.
Controls
- Drag & drop Drag a card (or a run of cards) onto its new pile.
- Tap On a touchscreen, drag with your finger to move cards.

Klondike Solitaire tips & tricks
- Free your hidden cards first. Prioritise moves that flip face-down cards — they open up the whole board.
- Don't rush Aces and 2s to the foundation… but don't hoard them either. Send up low cards once they're no longer useful in the columns.
- Empty columns are gold. Save them for Kings so you can unload a long buried stack.
- Think before you draw. Exhaust your table moves before dipping into the stock pile.
- Plan colour order. Building alternating colours deliberately keeps more cards playable later.
Why is Solitaire so popular?
Klondike Solitaire is the comfort food of card games. It's a quiet, one-player ritual you can dip into anywhere — a few unhurried minutes that ask just enough of your brain to feel rewarding without ever feeling stressful. Each deal is a fresh little problem to solve, the rules are universally known, and that satisfying cascade of cards onto the foundations never gets old. It's free, needs no opponent, and runs anywhere, which is exactly why Solitaire has stayed a favourite for decades.
