Web Trap: How to Master the Territory-Capture Game

WishnPlay Team · 05 Jul 2026 · 2 min read

Some games you play once. Web Trap you play "just one more time" until the sun comes up. The idea is simple: draw trails across the board to fence off empty space and capture it — without letting the roaming bugs catch your line.

The basics

Every enclosed area you seal becomes yours. Capture enough of the board to clear the level. Sounds easy — until the bugs start hunting your trail.

Five strategies that actually work

  1. Take small bites. Short, safe captures beat one greedy sweep that gets you caught.
  2. Cut corners. Sealing off a corner needs less trail and exposes you for less time.
  3. Watch the patrols. Learn each bug's rhythm before you commit to a long line.
  4. Chain captures. Once you've walled off a big region, the remaining space shrinks fast.
  5. Retreat early. If a bug turns toward your trail, close the loop immediately.

Build your own level

Finished the built-in levels? Web Trap lets you design your own board and share it for friends to beat. Add your own picture as the reward reveal and challenge the world to capture it.

Pro tip: the highest scores come from patience, not speed. Trap smart, not fast.
