How to play Teen Patti: the rules

Everyone puts the boot (ante) into the pot and gets three cards face down.
Play blind without looking — a chaal costs the current stake — or look and play seen, where everything costs twice as much.
On your turn: chaal (call), raise, or pack (fold).
A seen player can ask the seen player before them for a side show — a private comparison where the lower hand packs.
When only two players remain, either can pay for a show. Both hands are turned up and the best hand wins the pot.

Trail (Trio) — three of a kind. Three Aces is the best hand in the game.
Pure sequence — three consecutive cards of the same suit.
Sequence (Run) — three consecutive cards of mixed suits.
Colour — three cards of the same suit, not in sequence (a flush).
Pair — two cards of the same rank.
High card — none of the above; the highest card decides.

A-K-Q is the highest sequence and A-2-3 the second highest.

Teen Patti tips and strategy

Blind is cheap — use it. Playing blind costs half as much, and it puts pressure on seen players who have to pay double.
Fold weak hands early. A high card with nothing else rarely wins a show. Packing early saves chips for better hands.
Use the side show. If you hold a middling hand, a side show can knock out one opponent without facing the whole table.
Watch the betting, not just the cards. A player who suddenly raises after seeing their cards usually has something.
Mix it up. If you only raise with strong hands, others will learn. An occasional bold chaal keeps them guessing.
